Hong Kong Haul 1

Sasa is located on just about every corner of Hong Kong and it's literally like crack because you just have to go in each one. Each Sasa carries different products and depending on the location, it's cheaper at some places than others.

My mom picked me up a few things before she headed back to the states. She picked up the Liese Juicy Shower Moisturizing Hair Mist. I saw this on the website and I've seen a lot of people recommend it so I'm excited to try it.

She also picked me up some hair clips, a compact puff, and also a new moisturizer.

I also got a back up bottle of my favorite cleaner. It gets all my stubborn MAC makeup off. I also LOVE this product for cleaning my brushes. It makes them soft and also gets rid of all the make up stains.

This is my random collection of goods. I got a Dolly Wink eyebrow filler, a Shiseido eyelash curler, some lashes, and a Dolly Wink lash case. I'm super excited to try these lashes!

Haulage: Forever21

I picked up a couple of tops from Forever 21. They're all very similar, but that's the style I like to wear in the Summer. It's flowy and fits nicely.

I bought 2 of these tops in different colors. One is a pink and the other is a teal. It has a cute lace pattern along the neckline.

I also picked up this flowy flower top. It has little buttons on the front. It is a little see through but with a cute bra it should work out.

I love the color of this coral top and the neckline is different than other things I own.

Review: purminerals 4-in-1 Mineral Tinted Moisturizer

Pur Mineral 4-in-1 Mineral Tinted Moisturizer

So I received this sample in my Birchbox a few months ago and I've been using it ever since. This little tube has lasted me the entire time so a little bit of this goes a long way!

This isn't my first experience with the Pur brand. I have previously tried their 4-in-1 pressed powder and wasn't impressed at all. The powder wasn't very finely milled. It was hard to work with, and most times, it made me look cakey.

But back to the "Tinted Moisturizer." I put it in quotes because I honestly don't know why it's not called a BB Cream or something better. The coverage is so much better than most tinted moisturizers I've tried. I would say this one is medium to full coverage depending on how you blend it. I also like that this lasts all day and doesn't look cakey when applied.

Description from website:

Your moisturizer, primer, foundation and SPF 20 all in one! July 2012 Birchbox: Glamour

I was super excited to get my box this month. I always end up peaking at other people's boxes and they received some fab samples so I was excited!

Manna Kadar| Sheer Glow Shimmer Lotion (full size cost: $22)
The illuminating liquid gives your complexion a super-model like sheen. Mix it with your foundation or use it as a highlighter.

I have never heard of this brand before but I can always use another highlighter!

Laura Geller| Double Dipped Lipstick in Caribbean Kiss (full size cost: $17.50)
This double-sided lipstick makes it easy to switch between (or layer) two golden pink pigments.

YES!! Another full sized Laura Geller product. She makes some of my favorite make up and last may, they had a full sized bronzer. I still use it today. The colors are flattering on any skin tone and it's such a creamy texture.

Fresh| Soy Face Cleaner

I've received this cleaner before with my Sephora orders. I don't dislike it, but I'm in love with my Philosophy cleaner so I don't think I wanna change.

Oscar de la Renta| live in love (full size cost: $25-78)
The elegant floral layers notes of hyacinth and orchid over a rich base of sandalwood and cedar.

UGH another perfume sample. This smells like an old lady to me.

Birchbox Exclusive| Earbuds (full size cost: $22)
We designed these neon headphones just for you. pair them with your best playlist.

I LOVE these. They're nothing special but you can always use an extra pair of headphones!

June 2012 Birchbox

Ok So i'm a month and a half late. I've been so busy with moving and work that I haven't had time to blog lately. This is gonna be a quick post bc I still have this month's Birchbox to show you.

The theme of this month's box is Jet Setting. So the inside of this box is decorated with a cute little travel theme.

Juliette Has A Gun| Not a perfume (full size cost: $85-110)
Make a statement with this minimalist scent, which features a single ambery note.

I get a perfume sample every month and this one isn't bad. It's very light and refreshing and I can see myself wearing it a lot. Bad part, the name. Such a mouthful.

Melvita| Rose Floral Water (full size cost: $22)
This organic mist works as an light toner and mid-day skin refresher. We also love the delicate scent.

No sure how I feel about this most. I HATE the scent of roses. I think it's mostly because my mom used to light these strong rose scented candles.

Stila| Stay all day 10-in-1 hd beauty balm (full size cost: $38)
A star multi-tasker, this all-in-one primer, moisturizer, and sheer tint mattifies skin while canceling out redness.

I've wanted to try this since they released it! I was super excited to see this in my box. The color is a little light for my summer shade, but I'm hoping it will change a little when worn on my face.

theBalm cosmetics| Stainiac in Beauty Queen (full size cost: $17)
We're crazy about this two-in-one lip and cheek stain: the sheer gel formula delivers a subtle, long-wearing flush .

I was super excited to see this in my box. I love it when they have make up products. I was a little disappointed wen I swatched it, but I'm hoping it will look better on.

Modcloth| Headbands (full size cost: $14)
Pair this retro-inspired accessory with a big pair of sunnies and a two seater. Shop all Modcloth road trip beauty essentials at birchbox.com/modcloth

REVIEW: NP Pasarella Powder

I haven't heard much hype or gripe about this powder, but I did see a youtube video from my favorite guru Saaammage and she recommended this powder. I normally trust her recommendations because we have similar tastes.

This powder is only available at Target and it does have a hefty price tag at $30. I love a good powder foundation so I don't mind paying that price tag. NP stands for Napoleon Perdis.

I picked up the powder in medium. I believe the entire line has about 7 shades.

The ingredients are: Talc, Corn Starch, EthylhexylMethoxycinnamateTriisostearin,Octyldodecyl Stearoyl StearateDimethicone, Zinc Oxide, MyristylTrisiloxane, Soybean Glycerides, Zinc StearateChlorphenesin, Potassium, Sorbate,Polyperfluoroethoxymethoxydifluroethy, Peg Phosphate, Shea Butter, Dimethiconol,Tetrasodium EdtaMorus Alba Root Extract, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Silica, Corn Oil, Retinyl PalmitateTocopheryl Acetate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, BHT,Ascorbyl Palmitate
MAY CONTAIN: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines

This is the first powder that I've tried that claims to be moisturizing. It contains Shea Butter and Pomegranate extract. I don't find it to be moisturizing, but it's not as drying or as matte as my MAC powder.

It comes with a pretty pattern. I've used it all month and the pattern is still there.

It also comes with a sponge underneath the powder.

The color of the powder is pretty close to medium. I've only used this as a setting powder and not by itself, but the powder is so finely milled. It makes your skin super soft and smooth.
